A few days ago, we flew from McAllen, Texas, to the gaming city of Las Vegas, Nevada, to attend as exhibitors at IRE 2024. Our Southeast Contracting Services staff attended on the 6th, 7th, and 8th of February 2024. It was a great experience for us, and we had the opportunity to interact with clients and colleagues. We also gained valuable insights from the discussions we participated in.
On the first day, our President, Teresa Ramirez, and our Regional Manager, Laura Hernandez, took part in the National Women in Roofing event. It was a highly interesting gathering as we have been part of this association for quite some time.
First Day:
On the first day of the event, it started early with a talk from our president, Teresa Ramirez, on the topic of Diversity and Inclusion in the Hispanic Community. She emphasized the importance of always considering the Hispanic community in our construction projects, understanding their needs, and creating new ways to engage with them. The discussion was highly interactive, with the audience actively participating by reading the presentation.
The Expo opened its doors at 10 am, and many people began to visit our booth, inquiring about our Staffing and Payroll services. Our staff members were attentive and responsive, addressing each question posed by the attendees.
Later in the afternoon, we attended the Welcome Party at the Beer Park in the Paris Casino, where we enjoyed drinks, delicious food, and the participation of BMX athlete Ricardo Laguna, who engaged with several attendees.
Day Two:
On the second day, several members of our staff participated in various activities held on the exhibition floor. It was the day when we saw the highest number of attendees, providing us with the opportunity to engage in conversations with more and more people interested in our services.
To wrap up the event, we attended the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert at the House of Blues, courtesy of our friends at SRS Distribution. It was an evening filled with drinks, delicious food, and extensive networking with colleagues and friends.
Day Three:
On the third day, we continued to participate in discussions on construction, marketing, and sales topics, concluding our activities at IRE 2024. Notably, we learned that next year’s IRE will be held in San Antonio, Texas!
To end up, we want to express our gratitude to the organizers of the International Roofing Expo 2024 for giving us the opportunity to participate in this beautiful event. We learned a lot and successfully networked with people from all walks of life and corners of the world. Looking forward to seeing everyone again in 2025 in San Antonio!
